Evangelist - Minister
Parkway church of Christ Springfield, Illinois. Position: Evangelist / Pulpit Minister Full or Part Time. Qualifications: Ideal candidate would be a married man with at least 5 years of preaching experience, who also takes an active role in personal evangelism. Key characteristics that the congregation is looking for include doctrinal soundness, enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and a strong desire and focus to winning the souls of the lost in the community. Salary: Commensurate with experience and education.
Description of Congregation: The Parkway church of Christ has existed for over 15 years, and attendance is approximately 60 for Sunday mornings. Several of the men are capable of preaching, and it is expected that they will be sharing the pulpit with you at least half the time. We recognize the importance of evangelism, and it is in this area where we are looking to the evangelist to spearhead. Springfield Il is the state capital with an area population around 150,000.

From Interstate 72, take exit 89 (3.0 miles west of Interstate 55); turn north on Route 4 (Veterans Parkway) and continue for 5.0+ miles; turn right on Bruns Lane, two stoplights after Jefferson; turn left into the parking lot.

From the east (Decatur) or north (Chicago)
From Interstate 55 southbound, take exit 98B to Springfield or from Interstate 72 westbound continue into Springfield without exiting; Interstate 72 "ends" and turns into Clear Lake Avenue, then Jefferson Street (a portion is one-way); turn right on Bruns Lane (5.7- miles); after the 1st stoplight (North Grand Avenue) turn right into the parking lot.
